Harrisburg, PA — Senator Marty Flynn announced the approval of $4,840,502 in Local Share Account (LSA) grant funding for thirty-seven community projects across Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties. The funding includes $2,637,085 for nineteen projects in Luzerne County and $2,203,417 for eighteen projects in Lackawanna County, supporting public safety initiatives, infrastructure improvements, municipal facilities, and community spaces throughout the region.
“These projects reflect the priorities I hear about every day,” Flynn said. “Keeping people safe, addressing long-standing needs, and making sure our communities have the resources they need to function well. It takes coordination, and I am grateful to the House members who worked with me to move these projects forward and make sure our region was well represented. When we stay focused on the work and keep the process collaborative, we can deliver real improvements for the people we serve.”
“I value the cooperation with Senator Flynn and my colleagues in the House that made this funding possible, and the opportunity to support projects that communities have been working toward for some time. These investments help move important local work ahead, and I look forward to seeing this funding benefit residents across our region,” said Representative Bridget Kosierowski.
“These LSA grants represent a direct reinvestment of gaming revenue back into our communities,” Representative Pashinski said. “From public safety upgrades and road improvements to municipal equipment and community facilities, these funds will help local governments and organizations deliver real, tangible benefits to residents.”
“I’m glad to work alongside my colleagues in support of this funding and the communities we represent. These investments are important for our region and reflect a shared commitment to making sure local needs are addressed. I’m pleased to see this funding delivered for the benefit of our communities,” Represent Jim Haddock said.
Local Share Account (LSA) grants are funded through the gaming revenue and administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority to support eligible community projects.
